TITLE: WAIVE BID PROCESS FOR WASTE HAULER SERVICES AND EXTEND CONTRACTS FOR ONE YEAR TO PINE TREE WASTE
WHEREAS the Town of Standish has a contractual agreements with Pine Tree Waste, Inc. of South Portland, for the transportation of municipal solid waste and rolloff containers containing various types of solid waste from the Standish Transfer Station through June 30, 2004, and
WHEREAS extending this contract for the one-year period would make the expiration date of these agreements coincide with similar contractual agreements related to the Transfer Station, and
WHEREAS the Town Charter requires a competitive bid process for procurement of services exceeding $3,500 in value, unless so waived by the Town Council, now be it
ORDERED the bidding requirement for these contracts are hereby waived, and
FURTHER ORDERED that the Town Manager is authorized, on behalf of the Town, to execute related contract documents for these services through June 30, 2005 at the fees and costs noted in the attached document from Pine Tree Waste.
